Circle in Wood Panel Frame

Borders are a great way to enhance your photographs or images. In this tutorial, we'll walk through the steps to create a wood texture border with a circle cutout section for displaying your photos.
Step-By-Step Instructions:
1. Open a new document in Photoshop. Set height/width to 300x300 px.
2. Create a new layer. Name it "Wood Panel".
3. Select the Rectangular Marquee tool and draw a square selection.
4. Use the Paint Bucket tool and fill the selection with a brown color.

5. Goto Filter > Noise > Add Noise. Set to Amount to 30. Check Uniform and Monochromatic.

6. Goto Filter > Blur > Motion Blur. Set Angle to 0. Set Distance to 40.
7. Goto Select > Modify > Contract. Set to contract by 15 pixels.
8. Goto Select > Inverse.
9. Hit the Delete Key.

10. Right click the "Wood Panel" layer in the layers palette. Choose "Blending Options" from the pop-up list.
11. Set the properties for "Drop Shadow" to the following:

13. Click OK to accept changes.

14. Select the Eliptical Marquee tool. Hold down the Shift key and draw a perfect circle selection over the wood panel.

15. Click the Delete Key to create a hole in the wood panel.
16. Click Ctrl+D to deselect.

17. Paste your photo into a new layer. Click Ctrl+T to enter Free Transform Mode and use the shape handles to resize the photo so that it covers the hole.

18. Move the layer with the photo below the "Wood Panel" layer from the layers palette. You should now have your Circular in Wood Panel Frame.
