Draw a House
Learn the steps that you need to do in Photoshop in order to make a cool looking house image.

Step-By-Step Instructions:
1. Open a new document in Photoshop. Set height/width to 300x300 for a good size canvas to work on.
2. Create a new layer. Name it "Roof".
3. Select the Polygonal Lasso tool. Draw the following shape for the roof:

4. Choose a brown color as your foreground color. Use the Paint Bucket tool to fill in the roof selection.

6. Create a new layer below the "Roof" layer. Name it "House".
7. Select the Polygonal Lasso tool. Draw the following shape for the house structure:

8. Choose a grey color as your foreground color. Use the Paint Bucket tool to fill in the house selection.

9. Select the Polygonal Lasso tool. Draw the following shape over the right side of the house structure:

10. Goto Image > Adjustments > Brightness/Contrast. Adjust the Brightness slider to the left so the grey becomes darker on the right side.

11. Create a new layer above the "House" layer. Name this new layer "Door".
12. Select the Polygonal Lasso tool. Draw the following shape for the door:

13. Choose a color for the door as your foreground color. Use the Paint Bucket tool to fill in the door selection.

14. Choose a dark grey color. Make sure the "House" layer is active.
15. Select the Brush tool. Choose a small size brush and create a shadow under the roof.

16. Repeat steps 14 and 15 for the left side, but use an even darker grey.

17. Choose a dark brown color. Make sure the "Roof" layer is active.
18. Choose a small size brush and paint along the side of the roof as shown below:

19. Choose a darker shade of the door color. Make sure the "Door" layer is active.
20. Choose a small size brush and paint along the inside of the door as shown below:

21. Create a new layer below all the other layers. Name this layer "Shadow".
22. Select the Polygonal Lasso tool. Create a selection like the one below for the shadow of the house.

23. Choose a very dark grey (almost black) color as your foreground color.
24. Use the Paint Bucket tool to fill in the shadow selection.

25. Click Ctrl+D to deselect.
26. You should now have your house graphic!
